Mr. & Mrs. Shafqat!

Right after returning to the States we took off for a weekend in Toronto to see our sweet little Hildabel marry the man of her dreams, Imran!  If you can't tell by looking at the photos, this wasn't a traditional Western wedding.  Imran is from Pakistan and as such they decided to have a Pakistani wedding!  And it was so beautiful... and so colorful!

Each day of the weekend was full of activities.  On Thursday night all of the ladies got together for a henna party.  The friends/family of the bride just got basic henna going part way up our arms.  Hil got very intricate henna going up and down her arms and legs!  Then on Friday we had the Mehndi celebration which is basically a party to prepare the bride for the wedding.  I also like to call this 'the yellow day'.  See the photos below...

The second day was the actual wedding ceremony.  Hil and Imran were both stunning and the day was so full of love.

And a virtual toast... Hilary and Imran, we are so incredibly happy for you.  We wish you nothing but love, happiness and success in the future!
