Parc Güell is one of the most popular parks in Barcelona. It was designed by the incredibly talented and creative Antoni Guadí. You can see Guadí's work all over Barcelona, but this is in my opinion one of the best ways to get a sense for his style and individuality... and it's free :)
The best way to see it is to take a complete afternoon and a picnic lunch. Walk through the main parts (the look-out and main entrance) and then settle down for your picnic away from the crowds. You can often find someone playing live music nearby!
